Saving Grace

August 18th, 2008 -- Posted in TV Shows | No Comments »

I’m a little baffled about this one.  Every week I try to watch it.  This one has a  little fantasy in it and  alot of morals to the story.  On paper it sounds fantastic.

I’m not strictly into realism, I can appreciate good fiction and fantasy.  Maybe this is overload, there is so much packed into each episode I lose track.  I think I need to take some time and  watch  past  episodes here,  I can then take a break and  start again instead of losing interest.  I guess I’m stubborn, but the jury is still out on this one!

Repairing a leaky faucet

August 12th, 2008 -- Posted in Home Repair | No Comments »

by Beverly DeJulio, Handy Ma’am (see more from this expert)

“Can you give me a step-by-step guide to changing a washer? My bathroom sink is running as if I have the sink turned on, even though it’s not. It’s driving me crazy, and I don’t know any men who can repair it. I know if I call someone out to fix it, it will cost me and arm and a leg.”

Not only do leaky faucets waste water, the sound of drip, drip, drip can certainly keep you awake at night. Fixing this yourself can save you anywhere from $50 to $75. Although this is not a difficult job, it does take a little bit of time. Follow these instructions for repairing a double-handled compression faucet.
